Vidic Admits Title Hopes Fizzle Out For Us

Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic admitted his team’s title hopes were fading after losing to Chelsea this afternoon.

Arsenal, leaders of the standings, are now 14 points ahead of United, the defender believes that the gap is big for the Red Devils.

“We are too far behind and now we have to focus on the first three or four.

“We have to be positive, we didn’t play a bad game today. They had three shots and scored three goals and that’s the difference in the game, we were punished for every mistake we made.

“It’s not going to be easy, you have to action now to reach the Champions League. We have to stay positive, stay united and work hard. With a little luck, I hope that we can achieve this.”

United have had problems recently in terms of performance and victories, they have missed many times and did not play like a team that won the Premier League last season. David Moyes as the successor to Alex Ferguson did not go quite as planned, they seem to miss the vanguard that they had last season.

Nemanja Vidic defended the manager and simply believes that the players are not playing well enough, he refused to blame David Moyes.

He said: “You can’t always talk about managers, the players are tired of talking about it because the manager is trying to do his best. Tactically, we did well today.”

The Serbian defender was disappointed with the decision, which led to him being sent off after a foul on Chelsea-Eden harmful, which means Vidic will miss Sunderland’s semi-final match of the Captial One Cup again on Wednesday.

The Serbian defender was upset by the decision to remove him from the court for a foul on Eden harmful at the end of the match at Stamford Bridge. The red card means Vidic will be ruled out of the Capital One Cup semi-final against Sunderland on Wednesday.

“My feeling is that it was very difficult because I got the ball. harmful, we know, is a sharp player and he just pushed the ball,” he added.
